To Zip,
I'm someone who has been documenting the history of your company, former rivals Star Tug & Marine, and the tugs of those respective fleets for the past three, four years.
Out of curiosity, since this incident has gone heavily undocumented outside of a few local newspapers from around the time. Do you recall an incident involving some old buildings that happened etc. the summer of 1936? Seems like something well hidden considering how no public documents make mention of this.
Always suspected it to be tied to a secret Navy project, considering operations between them and Zero Marine that suddenly sprung up the following year in 1937. Could you give any details about it if you can?
With many thanks, Special Trees.

Hello Special Trees

My oh my you are well researched! Always loveley to meet a historian who knows their stuff.

Well, lets see, you must be talking about May of 36. Let me see, that was just before the twins where built. Unfortunately no that wasn't a Navy inside job.

Sadly like many a fumble, that was me and Zug.

As you probably know, we've been known to cause some incidents around port. That was probably me and Zug's biggest oops and rivaled on the bridge fiasco that Zebedee and Zak caused in May of 1920. It's always May it seems. Luckley we had a very image conscious Captain at the time, Ben worked very hard with the insurance company to cover up that mistake.

As for what happened? Me and Zug where supposed to be moving barges around the old docks for wreaking crews coming around anyways, well we were acting up and fooling around and may have finished the job a little early. I got hit by quite a few bricks that day. Zug got smacked with a steal beam. Sadly it didn't fix him.

Now that Navy work you mention is interesting! I recall the first big job that we did for the Navy before the war was Zircon and Zaim. Ben always said not to talk about it but Admiral Argosy and him did alot of work together before the Second World War broke out. Captain being the Commissioner for the Harbour Board was a deal struck for the second world war if I recall correctly. He did a lot of homeland defense stratagy for the port. That's where Zircon and Zaim come in. We needed more power for the coming war and we needed it fast. Zaim was a crew carrying type Ocean tug because of it! There was alot of changes for that war. You should have seen Zaffre in Dazzle! But that's enough about the war.

Feel free to reach out any time to ask about our History, Mr Trees, and thank you for your support of our new Twitter page.

Hello from Central America!
I have a question in mind. How do you feel about boat enthusiasts and public media about the company?
Hope this reaches you well and correctly.

Hello Brian L.

Around here we love boat enthusiasts for the most part! A few of us (Ten Cents) don't really feel like bothering with them, but we do enjoy answering questions and getting pictures! As for the public media on our company for the most part we love to see what people write up about us! I always recommend the BCPBS feature on the harbour from 89 for anyone wanting the full story. I also always shill for Captain Zasha Zero's book on her father's if you want to learn about the men behind Zero Marine and Star Tug and Marine.
